Cuba National PrEP Guidelines, 2021

The Institute for Technological Evaluation in Health (IETS) and the National Company for the Promotion of Territorial Development (TERRITORY) under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MSPS) updated the national PrEP guidelines, particularly as they pertain to HIV/AIDS care for adolescents 13 and older and adults, including pregnant individuals. These guidelines followed a public health and equity approach and hence specifically considered the inequities and barriers faced by high risk populations.
